📌 Phần 1: Paraphrase Mở Bài (Introduction)

Mục tiêu mở bài là viết lại đề thi bằng cách thay thế các cụm từ đồng nghĩa và biến đổi cấu trúc câu linh hoạt:

🌟 Phần 2: 3 Công Thức Vàng Viết Overview

Overview của bài Map cần chỉ ra xu hướng tổng quát (hiện đại hóa, mở rộng, quy hoạch lại) và những thay đổi trọng tâm nhất:

Công thức 1: S + experience/undergo/witness/see + (a/an) + adj + noun

S + (will) experience / undergo / witness / see + (a/an) + adj + noun
(experience = undergo = witness = see)
• The area will experience dramatic changes.
• The area has experienced considerable modernization.

Công thức 2: S + to be + V-ed + adv (hoặc S + to be + adv + V-ed)

S + to be + adv + V3/ed (hoặc V3/ed + adv)
• The area will be dramatically changed.
• The area has been considerably modernized.

Công thức 3: There + to be + (a/an) adj + noun in...

There + to be + (a/an) + adj + noun + in [somewhere]
• There will be dramatic changes in the central area of the town.
• There has been considerable modernization in the area.

Công thức Overview hoàn chỉnh mở rộng (Kèm chi tiết thêm vào & mất đi):

Overall, [Khu vực trải qua thay đổi mạnh mẽ] +
with the construction/building/addition of [công trình mới] +
at the expense of [công trình/cây cối bị phá bỏ] (hoặc: and the disappearance / loss of ...)
Ví dụ mẫu xuất sắc:
"Overall, the town of Islip will experience dramatic changes, with the construction of infrastructure, housing and facilities at the expense of the shops and the countryside."

🏗️ Phần 3: Thân Bài (Body) & Các Cụm Động Từ Bị Động

Trong IELTS Writing Map, phần lớn các đối tượng (nhà cửa, đường sá, cây xanh) đều do con người tác động, nên dạng bị động (Passive voice) là trọng tâm bắt buộc:

1. Cây cối & Tòa nhà bị phá dỡ

  • Cây cối: to be cut down = to be cleared
  • Tòa nhà / Nhà cửa: to be knocked down = to be demolished

2. Cách diễn đạt mục đích ("Để nhằm mục đích...")

Cấu trúc Công thức Ví dụ minh họa
to make way for Clause + to make way for + Noun The old houses will be demolished to make way for skyscrapers.

3. Công trình mới được xây dựng

to be built = to be constructed = to be developed = to be established

4. Thay thế cái cũ bằng cái mới

A is replaced by B = A makes way for B = A gives way to B
The shops located along the north side of the road will be replaced by a bus station, shopping centre, car park and new housing area.
= The shops ... will give way to a bus station, shopping centre...

5. Chuyển đổi công năng (Biến thành cái gì)

to be converted into = to be turned into = to be transformed into
The old factory was converted into a museum.

6. Đường sá & Tuyến đường sắt kéo dài / Mở rộng

(road / railway line) to be extended to + hướng (to the east / west / north / south)
• The small road was extended to the east to connect with the neighbouring town.
• The railway line has been extended to the west where a train station has been built.

7. Kết nối giao thông / Cơ sở hạ tầng

to be connected to/with st = to be linked to/with st
The beach will be connected to the town by road.

8. Giữ nguyên không đổi (Không có sự thay đổi nào)

S + remain unchanged = S + remain the same = no changes were made to st

🔍 Thử Thách Bắt Lỗi Sai Kinh Điển Trong Bài Map

Các câu dưới đây đều chứa 1 lỗi sai ngữ pháp/từ vựng cực kỳ phổ biến mà thí sinh hay mất điểm trong phòng thi. Hãy đọc kỹ, tự tìm lỗi sai trong đầu rồi bấm "Xem cách sửa & giải thích":

❌ "The diagrams illustrate the changes which will be taken place in the town of Islip."
✔️ Sửa đúng: "The diagrams illustrate the changes which will take place in the town of Islip."
💡 Giải thích: take place là một nội động từ (intransitive verb) mang nghĩa "diễn ra", tuyệt đối không bao giờ chia ở dạng bị động (*will be taken place* ❌).
❌ "The old industrial warehouse was converted to a community sports center."
✔️ Sửa đúng: "The old industrial warehouse was converted into a community sports center."
💡 Giải thích: Khi nói về việc biến đổi hoặc chuyển đổi công năng của một tòa nhà/khu vực sang mục đích khác, giới từ chuẩn học thuật bắt buộc là convert into (hoặc turn into, transform into).
❌ "Over the 10-year period, there has been considerably modernization in the central district."
✔️ Sửa đúng: "Over the 10-year period, there has been considerable modernization in the central district."
💡 Giải thích: modernization là một danh từ, do đó bổ nghĩa cho nó phải là một tính từ (considerable), không được dùng trạng từ (considerably). Hoặc nếu dùng động từ: The area has been considerably modernized.
❌ "The main railway line was extended in the west where a new station was erected."
✔️ Sửa đúng: "The main railway line was extended to the west where a new station was erected."
💡 Giải thích: Khi đường sá hoặc tuyến tàu được kéo dài về một hướng địa lý cụ thể, cấu trúc chuẩn là extended TO the west / east / north / south (hướng tới phía nào), chứ không dùng in.
❌ "A line of trees was cut off to make way to a new car park."
✔️ Sửa đúng: "A line of trees was cut down to make way for a new car park."
💡 Giải thích: Có 2 lỗi: Chặt đốn cây dùng cut down (hoặc cleared), không dùng *cut off* (cắt rời/cắt nguồn cung). Cụm nhường chỗ cho là make way FOR (hoặc give way TO).
❌ "The houses will be demolished so that high-rise apartments can build."
✔️ Sửa đúng: "The houses will be demolished so that high-rise apartments can be built."
💡 Giải thích: Căn hộ không thể tự xây dựng nó được mà phải được con người xây dựng, do đó vế sau của `so that` phải chia ở thể bị động: can be built.
